Buildings are like people, every one has a different story. I was privileged enough to work with a bunch of young creatives from my home town Nairobi this past weekend in Mathare Nairobi.

During our little adventure in the slum area, we came across this old building that seemed to what have once been someone's home. Initially when we walked it, I tried to mentally place everything where I thought it would have been if it was my home.

This photo was taken in what I would have thought to be the living room.

The shadow play was intense as a result of no roof and I just couldn't resist capturing this picture of Alvin Gicheru and Jojo Abot peeking in the background.

Kitchen maybe? 🤔 The energy and vibes that these guys were exerting was absolutely brilliant! I couldn't get enough of them.

It's always a good time when Alexis is around.

#sayhello to Neema, her passion for travel and experiences on her various expeditions around the world really made me look forward to achieving my ultimate goal of 2016, that is, to travel more.

I'll be heading to the developers tomorrow to pick up my two rolls of film from this shoot as well. Really looking forward to seeing what the whole experience was like.
For this series, I shot using my iPad mini, Olympus om-1n and Nikkormatt FT2 on Kodak ColorPlus ISO 200
I think you'll all agree, My Africa is pretty amazing.
